About Us

Woodland Fashion Collective is an Anishinaabe-led fashion house dedicated to uplifting and empowering Indigenous youth through fashion, mentorship, and cultural storytelling. We believe that fashion is more than just clothing—it’s a powerful medium for identity, creativity, and self-expression.

Founded on the principles of tradition, innovation, and representation, our collective brings together Indigenous designers, artists, and creators to shape a future where Indigenous fashion is recognized, celebrated, and supported on a global scale.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create high-quality, meaningful fashion that honours Indigenous artistry while providing opportunities for the next generation. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and runway showcases, we are committed to bridging the gap between cultural heritage and modern fashion.

What We Do

  • Educational Workshops – Hands-on experiences to support Indigenous youth interested in fashion and design.

  • Runway Events – Showcasing Indigenous talent and storytelling through high-fashion experiences.

  • Community Collaborations – Partnering with Indigenous artists and brands to uplift and amplify Indigenous voices in fashion.

WOODLAND FASHION

Internship Program

The Woodland Fashion Collective Internship Program provides Indigenous youth with hands-on experience in fashion design, business, and production. Interns work closely with established designers, gaining practical skills in garment construction, creative development, and brand management. This program is designed to bridge the gap between education and industry, offering mentorship, real-world projects, and opportunities to build a professional portfolio. Our goal is to prepare young Indigenous creatives for successful careers in fashion while fostering cultural expression and innovation.
